Compartir en Facebook Compartir en Twitter Compartir en LinkedINThe Regulating Board of the Asturian PGI Ternera begins the selection of the best cachopo in Spain 2019 , a title that will culminate in the Gourmet Hall, International Food and Beverage Quality Fair, which will hold its 33rd edition from April 8 to 11 at Feria of Madrid - IFEMA.
To make this typical dish of Asturian cuisine that has gained notoriety in recent years and consists of two steaks of beef, among which is added cheese and ham , although some cooks incorporate other ingredients, to later bread them, it is essential to have with the best raw materials such as meat under the seal of quality IGP Ternera Asturiana , which stands out for its flavor and tenderness.
In this edition, only 70 applications will be accepted and registrations will be open until January 23 . It will also consist of two phases, in the first, from January 24 to March 20, the jury will go, anonymously, to the restaurants and select the 12 best cachopos -6 from Asturias and another 6 from the rest of Spain-.
On March 22 will meet the contestants who will go to the grand final to be held in the Living Gourmets on Monday April 8 at 2:00 pm in the Auditorium Gourmets (Hall 8, stand 8G50).
The criteria that the members of the jury will evaluate will be the presentation, the breaded taking into account the integrity and the texture, the originality, the filling, the elaboration of the meat and, of course, the flavor.
The prize for the winner will be € 1,200 and a diploma, while for the second and third place it will be € 500 and € 300, respectively.
The objective of this championship is to recognize the work of chefs who bet on quality in their restaurants and serve this attractive, tasty and economic dish made with the meat of the Protected Geographical Indication Ternera Asturiana.
