Trufforum, the truffle traveling event, will be held in Vic (Barcelona)
The city of Vic (Barcelona) will host from January 24 to 26, 2019, the Trufforum international truffle congress, which will put the professional sector of this product in contact to spread its values and culture, as well as to promote its responsible use in both Restaurants like at home.
It is a hall organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the City Council of Vic, the European Mycologiocal Institute, the Forestry Science and Technology Center Consortium of Catalonia and the Market of Procurement and Market in Vic, the department led by Teresa Jordà this Thursday in a statement.
The first edition of Trufforum was held in Zaragoza in February last year, Catalonia presented its candidacy with Vic as a host city and was elected winner competing with Guadalajara and Soria.
The conference is aimed at professionals as well as the general public, with presentations, popular and gastronomic activities, among others.
In Catalonia, the truffle represents 30% of the surface of this product known in the whole of Spain, and occupies about 1,000 hectares.
